The guidelines state that the foundation gives grants to arts and cultural organizations. Will it ever consider or give grants directly to artists?

No. The foundation will make grants only to nonprofit organizations.

Does the foundation give grants to arts organizations whose mission is broad and inclusive and may showcase Latino or Cuban art only intermittently?

Yes. The Foundation will accept applications for programming content focused on Cuban art, artists and culture.

Will the foundation consider funding international projects?

Yes, provided that the administration and project management is undertaken by a US-based 501 c3. or, that in a collaboration there is a legitimate US-based partner organization.

If my organization applied to the foundation and was turned down, do we need to wait a year before applying again?

Yes.

If my organization’s nonprofit status is pending but we have a fiscal sponsor, will the foundation review or accept my application?

No.

Will the foundation award or make grants to support student shows?

No.

Can an organization apply for multi-year funding?

Multi-year grant requests will be accepted only from organizations that have previously received support from The Farber Foundation. Requests of this nature will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
